If you have been following my story you would know that I am constantly on a quest to become successful & while living my life to the fullest! I love setting small goals for myself instead of setting huge ones that are too unrealistic to me at that point in my life. I have found that small goals work best for me and by the time i know it I'm at the goal i never would have thought I'd make.
About 2-3 years ago I came to visit my sister here in Galveston and I told my self I would one day move here. The sound of the Ocean waves.. sunrises..and sunsets are all so relaxing. I find peace with myself here. Well today I am a resident of the Island and I am so proud of myself for making all the sacrifices in my life to be here with my Twins and am able to provide for them and give them and myself a better opportunity.
While i was visiting my sister she gave me a tour of the Island and told me that if i was going to need a fulltime Job i was going to start to apply for the #1 employer on the Island which is UTMB which stands for the University of Texas Medical Branch. As soon as I got back to her place I set up a profile and started applying. I applied for anything because I do have medical experience (it's actually what I went to college for).

2 years went by and I never got a single email or call. Knowing I wanted to leave my home town I just kept applying just knowing it was one of my longterm goals. I ended up finally saving up my money and coming to Galveston in 2013 not knowing exactly where I was going to work or have income I trusted in God to take care of me and my family with the money I had saved up. I landed a job at one of the top resorts on the Island thanks to my sister and a couple of her friends that still worked there because that was my sisters 1st job. I was put on a shift I hated but I loved the place and the money was right. I was always tired grouchy never had time to enjoy life how I wanted I started finally getting use to my night shift schedule and it became routine.
Until one day I got a phone call from the Human Resource Department at UTMB and she wanted to ask me some question I was like whaaaaat I've never had a phone call from you all. She says we never call unless we're interested. She went on to help me with my resume that was on file and helped me word it to where I was able to catch the attention of some department Nurses. She let's me go and says good luck. In my mind I was like that was God's work!! 2 months later I get an email for an interview.

Well you know how it goes from there!! Tomorrow is my 1st day of orientation at a job that I had planned in my goals years ago. God has definitely been blessing me through the darkness of my life and I am so thankful. Set your goals even if they are small ones in no time you will start seeing your life manifest before your eyes. It's not going to be an easy road but God will help you through.
